Export Incentives services
Indian government incentivsed exporters to motivate them to export various Export Products through various Export Incentive Schemes. These Schemes were launched by DGFT through addition in Foreign Trade Policy. We provide end-to-end solutions to get the various export incentives under these Schemes. Some of Major Schemes we deal in are:
1. RODTEP:
RoDTEP stands for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products. It is a new scheme that is applicable with effect from January 1st, 2021, formed to replace the existing MEIS (Merchandise Exports from India Scheme). The scheme will ensure that the exporters receive the refunds on the embedded taxes and duties previously non-recoverable. The scheme was brought about with the intention to boost exports which were relatively poor in volume previously.
2. ROSCTL:
The Full form of RoSCTL is Rebate of State & Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) Scheme. It is an export incentive in the form of transferable and sellable duty credit scrips offered on the basis of the FOB value of the export.
3. MEIS: Under the FTP 2015-20, MEIS intends to incentivize exports of goods manufactured in India or produced in India. The incentives are for goods widely exported from India, industries producing or manufacturing such goods with a view to making Indian exports competitive.

The scheme will ensure that the exporters receive the refunds on the embedded taxes and duties previously non-recoverable. The scheme was brought about with the intention to boost exports which were relatively poor in volume previously.
The ICEGATE portal (Indian Customs Electronic Gateway) will contain the details regarding the credits availed by the exporter. At the port, the exporter must indicate in the shipping bill the details regarding the claim of the RoDTEP benefit with regard to a particular item of export and generate a credit scrip for it. These credit scrips are then used to pay basic customs duties, claim rebates or can be transferred to other importers, as the case may be.
ROSCTL
The Full form of RoSCTL is Rebate of State & Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) Scheme. It is an export incentive in the form of transferable and sellable duty credit scrips offered on the basis of the FOB value of the export. It replaces the Rebate of State Levies (RoSL) scheme, a monetary incentive scheme under which Customs would deposit the rebate directly into the exporter’s bank account.
The benefits of Rebate of State Levies RoSCTL are available to exporters of readymade garments and made-ups for now. The scheme aims to help them cut high logistics and other costs and enable them to compete globally. An exporter can benefit from this scheme for all exports done after 1st April 2019. For exports made prior to this date, the eligibility criteria of the RoSCTL scheme would be applicable. The rebate for such exports was allotted out of the RoSCTL scheme fund, on exhaustion of which DGFT would issue scrips, but at RoSCTL rates.
MEIS
Under the FTP 2015-20, MEIS intends to incentivise exports of goods manufactured in India or produced in India. The incentives are for goods widely exported from India, industries producing or manufacturing such goods with a view to making Indian exports competitive.
MEIS covers goods notified for the purpose of the scheme. The incentives under the schemes are calculated as a percentage, which is 2%, 3% or 5% of the realised FOB (free-on-board) value exports in free foreign exchange or FOB value of exports as per shipping bills in free foreign exchange. The incentives are allotted through a MEIS duty credit scrip. The ‘free foreign exchange’ will include foreign exchange earned through international credit cards and other instruments allowed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
EPCG
This is a Scheme that enables an importer (being an export-oriented business) to import capital goods at zero rates of customs duty. However, the scheme is subject to an export value equivalent to 6 times of duty saved on the importation of such capital goods within 6 years from the date of issuance of the authorization.
In simple words, there is a compulsion on the business to bring in foreign currency which is equal to 600 per cent of duty saved on such importation measured in domestic currency. This is to be done within six years from availing of the Export Promotion Capital Goods Scheme.
